White Fillings
Swap dark, metal fillings for tooth-coloured white ones that bond to the tooth, match your shade so they disappear, and contain no mercury or metal.
Is any of this you?
- You see grey when you laugh.
- Your old fillings are dark.
- You do not want more metal.
- You would rather they disappeared.
None of this fixes itself.

How white fillings work
Four steps. No surprises.
- Step 1 Check the tooth
We look at the tooth, take an x-ray if needed, and tell you plainly whether a white filling is the right fix or if the tooth needs more.
- Step 2 Clean it out
We gently numb the tooth and remove the decay or the old dark filling, keeping as much of your natural tooth as we can.
- Step 3 Build and shade-match
We place the tooth-coloured composite in layers, shade-matched so it blends in, and bond it firmly to the tooth.
- Step 4 Shape and polish
We shape it to your bite, polish it smooth, and check it feels right before you leave, all in the one visit.
What our patients say
I am a confirmed dentist phobe and can I say, this is the best experience I have had.
Kyle was the first dentist who took me seriously.
If you have issues around anxiety or have avoided the dentist for some time, Dr Danielle and her staff will work with you.
Thank you so much for making my experience relaxed fun and more importantly affordable.
Individual results vary.
White filling questions
Can I replace my old silver fillings with white ones?
Yes. If an old metal filling has darkened, is leaking, or has greyed the tooth, we can take it out and replace it with a tooth-coloured one. It removes the metal and tidies up the look.
Are white fillings safe? Do they have mercury?
White fillings are made from tooth-coloured composite, with no mercury and no metal. They bond to the tooth and support it, which is why we use them.
Will the filling be noticeable?
It usually shouldn't be. We shade-match the composite to your own tooth so it blends in. There's no grey line, and most people can't tell which tooth was filled.
Does it take more than one visit?
No. A white filling is placed straight in the chair in a single visit, often at your check-up. Once the numbness fades, you can eat normally the same day.
What if the tooth is too broken for a filling?
If a tooth has lost too much to hold a filling, we'll tell you honestly. A crown or an inlay/onlay can rebuild it properly, and we'll explain your options before anything starts.
