Gum Disease Treatment
Treat bleeding, sore or receding gums early, before gum disease quietly loosens the teeth it is meant to hold.
Is any of this you?
- Your gums bleed when you brush.
- You brush softer to stop it.
- You think your gums are shrinking.
- You are overdue for a clean.
None of this fixes itself.

How we treat your gums
Four steps. No surprises.
- Step 1 Check your gums
We measure and check your gums and the bone around your teeth to see how things stand, with no judgment.
- Step 2 A deep clean
We remove the hardened build-up a toothbrush can't, including below the gum line where the trouble starts.
- Step 3 Settle and protect
For more advanced gums, deeper cleaning treatments help settle the inflammation and protect the bone.
- Step 4 Keep it healthy
We show you how to keep it from coming back and set a check-up rhythm that suits your gums.
What our patients say
They really prioritise communication, and will debrief with you after each consult, showing you photos and x-rays and explaining everything comprehensively.
Kyle was the first dentist who took me seriously.
Reception was lovely! And made sure I was okay afterwards! Even booked my follow up appointment the following day, coming from someone who avoided the dentist for years.
For the first time in forever I was not offered braces, implants or anything else.
Individual results vary.
Gum health questions
My gums bleed when I brush. Is that bad?
It's the earliest sign of gum disease and worth acting on, but caught early it's very treatable. Bleeding usually means the gums are inflamed from build-up that a toothbrush can't fully remove. A professional clean and good home care often turns it around.
Does treatment hurt?
A standard scale and clean is comfortable for most people. For deeper cleaning of more advanced gums, we numb the area so you stay comfortable, and we go gently.
Can gum disease be reversed?
The early stage (gingivitis) can usually be reversed with a clean and good home care. More advanced gum disease can be controlled and stopped from getting worse, which protects the teeth and bone you have. The sooner you act, the more you keep.
How often should I have a clean?
Many people do well with a clean every six months, but if your gums need more attention we may suggest more often for a while. We'll recommend a rhythm that suits you, not a one-size rule.
