Bone Grafting
Told you don't have enough bone for an implant? That's often not the end. We rebuild the bone first, so an implant can hold.
Is any of this you?
- You were told you lack the bone.
- You took that as a no.
- You still want the implant.
- You do not know if it is possible.
None of this fixes itself.

What to expect
Four steps. No surprises.
- Step 1 Free consult and 3D scan
A 3D scan shows how much bone you have and what's possible. No guessing, and no cost to find out.
- Step 2 Your plan and a clear price
We talk you through your options, then give you a fixed price and your finance choices before anything starts. No pressure to decide on the day.
- Step 3 Gentle bone grafting
We rebuild the bone with the area fully numbed, and sedation options if you're anxious. It's routine, planned and done with care.
- Step 4 Healing, then your implant
The new bone is given time to settle into a firm base. Once it's ready, your implant can go in with solid support to hold it.

Common questions about bone grafting
I was told I don't have enough bone for an implant. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Many people hear this and assume that's the end of it. Bone grafting rebuilds the area so an implant has something solid to hold onto. The only way to know your options is a 3D scan of your jaw, which is part of the free consult.
Does bone grafting hurt?
The area is fully numbed, so you shouldn't feel pain during it. Grafting is routine and well practised. Afterwards there can be some soreness, like after any dental work, usually handled with simple pain relief. If you're anxious, ask us about sedation.
Do I get the graft and the implant at the same time?
Sometimes. In many cases the graft and implant are planned together as one path. Other times the bone needs to settle first before the implant goes in. Your 3D scan tells us which suits you, and we map out the timeline so you know what to expect.
How much does bone grafting cost?
It depends on how much bone needs rebuilding, so there's no single price. You'll get a clear, fixed quote after your consult. You can also spread it with 0% interest plans through DentiCare, on approval. Health funds can be claimed on the spot where you're eligible.
Why does the bone shrink in the first place?
The root of a tooth keeps the jaw bone busy and strong. Once a tooth is gone, the bone under the gap slowly shrinks. The longer the gap sits, the more bone is lost, which is why acting sooner is usually the smaller job.
