Dr. Arthur Walsh

Meet Dr Arthur Walsh, the new owner and principal dentist of Dr Smile Southport. Passionate about dentistry and dedicated to the Southport community, he brings experience to the clinic.

Originally from Pretoria, South Africa, Dr Walsh earned his dental degree before completing postgraduate studies in London, including Dental Implantology, Cosmetic Dentistry, Orthodontics, CAD-CAM Dentistry and Facial Aesthetics. His training enables him to provide comprehensive dental care.

He loves it when patients say, “That wasn’t as bad as I thought!” and leave with a big smile. Inspired by his childhood dentist, who worked alongside his wife, Dr Walsh followed a similar path – marrying a beautiful woman and working together for over 30 years. If not a dentist, he would have pursued Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, but he’s grateful to make a difference through dentistry.

His mornings start with coffee, a sunrise walk, or a gym session before heading to the clinic, where his days are rewarding and full of surprises. One thing he can’t live without in his clinic is his dental loupes (specialised magnifying glasses with a built-in light), which help with precision in treatments. Patients might be surprised to know that he strives to stay on schedule.

Outside of work, Dr Walsh enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters, working out, playing golf, and enjoying the outdoors.
