Crowns & Bridges
Rebuild a cracked, worn or heavily filled tooth with a crown, or close a gap with a bridge, made tooth-coloured in our own Australian lab.
Is any of this you?
- You keep breaking the same tooth.
- You have had it filled twice.
- You chew on the other side.
- You are waiting for it to go.
None of this fixes itself.
A big filling does not
hold a tooth together
Understanding your options
Understand the proposed restoration
A crown covers an existing tooth. It may be considered when a tooth is damaged or needs protection after other dental work. Your dentist assesses the remaining tooth, gums and bite before recommending the material and design.
Ask why a crown is proposed, whether a filling or another approach is suitable, and what preparation is needed. Discuss possible sensitivity, maintenance, replacement and the full written cost.
A bridge and a crown address different situations. If you are replacing a missing tooth, ask how the proposed bridge would be supported and compare it with other appropriate options. Your treatment plan should explain which teeth are involved, the number of visits and how to clean around the restoration.

How crowns & bridges work
Four steps. No surprises.
- Step 1 Check the tooth
We look at the tooth and your bite, take an x-ray if needed, and explain whether a crown, a bridge or another option fits best.
- Step 2 Shape and scan
We gently prepare the tooth and take a digital scan. You will usually wear a temporary while your crown is made.
- Step 3 Made in our lab
Our own Australian lab builds your crown or bridge to match the colour and shape of your other teeth.
- Step 4 Fitted and checked
We bond it in place, check your bite feels right, and fine-tune it so it feels like your own tooth.

Crown & bridge questions
Crown or filling, which do I need?
It depends how much healthy tooth is left. A small repair suits a filling. A tooth that is cracked, worn, root-canal treated or mostly filling usually needs a crown to hold it together so it does not split. We will tell you honestly at your visit.

That is the goal. Your crown or bridge is shade-matched and built in our own Australian lab next to a model of your real teeth, so it blends in. Metal-free materials mean no grey line at the gum.
Bridge or implant for a missing tooth?
A bridge fills the gap using the teeth on either side and is fixed in place. An implant replaces the tooth on its own without touching the neighbours. Both are good in the right situation, and we will talk you through which suits your case and budget.

With good cleaning and regular check-ups, crowns and bridges last many years. Looking after the gum and the teeth that support them is the main thing, and we will show you how.
